SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR (SCREEN-OUT)
Demonstrated experience in authoring or co-authoring study results on health economics or health services research to be published in professional scientific journals, books, guidebooks and technical reports. IF SO, MUST SUBSTANTIATE IN FEDERAL RESUME.
Successful completion of a full 4 year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree that included a major field of study or specific course requirements related to the health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. In addition to meeting the basic education requirement noted above, this position requires:
One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is progressively responsible experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and is in or related to the work of the position.
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION
Successful completion of a Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree, in a major field of study related to the health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. A combination of specialized experience and related graduate education as described that demonstrates your ability to perform the duties of the position is fully qualifying at the GS-12 grade level. You will be rated on the following Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other characteristics (KSAOs) as part of the assessment questionnaire for this position:
KSA 1 Ability to provide leadership as a project manager to conduct health services and health economics research.
KSA 2 - Ability to demonstrate computer skills conduct data analysis to be used in health science or health economics research.
KSA 3 - Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to obtain information or disseminate research findings with diverse range of professional staff.
