In order to be qualified for this position, you must possess:
A Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy from a school in the United States or Canada approved by a recognized accrediting body in the year of my graduation and have had at least 1 year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting, i.e., a 1-year internship or the first year of a residency program in an institution accredited for such training - OR - a Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from a foreign medical school that provided education and medical knowledge substantially equivalent to accredited schools in the United States. You can demonstrate this equivalency because you possess permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) (or a fifth pathway certificate for Americans who completed premedical education in the United States and graduate education in a foreign country). In addition, you have had at least 1 year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting, i.e., a 1-year internship or the first year of a residency program in an institution accredited for such training.

One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service developing policies or standards for use across a large network (i.e. industry-wide, health-system wide, etc.) which are related to using, evaluating the effectiveness of and/or identifying adverse events of medical devices on patients; providing technical advice to national scientific and research organizations or manufacturers on evaluative methods or techniques used to determine the safety or efficacy of medical device products in clinical settings; fostering cooperative relationships with national/international scientists, medical device manufacturers, or researchers to exchange information and identify emerging issues in the assessment, development, or use of medical devices; and recommending goals or policy initiatives to improve the operations of scientific or research programs.
