Duties

   The Administrative Office Assistant performs the following duties:

                    ·  Independently initiate plans, coordinate and oversee the day-to-day development and

    implementation of various administrative processes;

 

·   Advise management on administrative policies and policy changes and

    coordinate local policies, procedures, and work methods affecting

    administrative management operations and ensures compliance;

 

·   Provide technical guidance to staff/management on the interpretation

    and coordination of information in support of administrative activities;

 

·   Compose and review all outgoing correspondence, and action papers

    for procedural and grammatical accuracy;

 

·   Ensure all time and attendance data is correct and in accordance with

    the Defense Civilian Pay System;

 

·   Use a variety of software to include word processing, spreadsheets,

    and presentations on a computer used as a stand-alone or as part of a network;

 

·   Schedule staff meetings with stakeholders, and exercise control over

    supervisor's appointments, priorities and time-commitments;

 

·   Make staff travel arrangements and manage travel vouchers.
