PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have U.S. citizenship. Selection is based on many factors, including academic achievement (GPA 3.0 or higher), writing skills and experience (e.g, journals), ability to reason independently and creatively (e.g., moot court), clinical/volunteer and work experience relating to the SECs work, commitment to its mission, extracurricular activities indicating legal judgment, and well-rounded background. Prior to appointment, security and suitability background investigation is required.
The SECs Student Honors Program is a ten-week opportunity for 2nd year law students to become acquainted with the regulation of the securities market and the activities of the Commission.
