Location: This position is within the National Acquisitions Center, Office of Acquisitions and Logistics in Hines, IL.

Duties

At the full performance level the Contract Specialist in this position will serve as the contract negotiator and administrator for contracts with a national scope for a vast range of products and services. Specifically, the Contract Specialist will:

  • Serve as a contact point to establish specialized contracts and agreements
  • Conduct negotiations for supplemental agreements, adjustments or settlements, and make recommendations to senior level contract specialists
  • Make recommendations relative to price adjustments, deviations from contract terms and conditions, delivery schedules, etc.
  • Administer contracts, including price/cost analysis, cancelling and terminating contracts, verifying licenses, etc.
