The Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank) is the official export credit agency of the United States. This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, in the Financial Reports Section of the Controller Division of the Export-Import Bank of the United States. The Financial Reports Section is responsible for the preparation of the Bank’s annual financial statements. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing and reviewing quarterly and year-end audited Financial Statement, Footnotes, MD&A, and other supporting documentation;
  • Conducting variance analysis of financial statements;
  • Preparing and reviewing monthly/quarterly/annual reports as required by the U.S. Treasury, OMB, and GAO;
  • Researching and applying the Bank’s new and existing accounting guidance;
  • Supporting the annual Financial Audit by working as a point of contact to the auditors ;
  • Supporting the Audit Committee;
  • Counseling and advising senior managers;
  • Providing guidance and supervision for subordinate staff, and;
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

GS-14: You must have one (1) year of specialized experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal Government. Specialized experience must include: Preparing and submitting monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and/or financial statements; monitoring and reviewing general ledgers, reports, and statements for adherence to GAAP requirements; interpreting accounting guidance; and advising senior management on new developments and there possible impact on an agency or organization’s financial program;  managing an office staff within a financial institution which includes delegation of work assignments, review work of subordinates, and evaluation of employee performance

Education cannot be substituted for experience at the GS-14 grade level.
