This position is located in the Region X (Seattle) Office and reports to the Director of the Office of Planning and Program Development. The employee is responsible for assisting in administration of regional activities related to project development. Project development activities include working with grantees, other local and State agencies and other Federal agencies to ensure compliance with FTA grant making requirements, state and metropolitan planning regulations and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and other environmental requirements. Geographic areas of responsibilities include the States of Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. Specialized support is received in the areas of engineering, civil rights, finance and legal.
This position is ideal for a mid-level Transportation Program Specialist who is looking for an opportunity to join the Federal Transit Administration, and apply project and program management experience in interacting with regional and headquarters staff, grantee, Federal and State agencies, contractors, and other interested parties.
