The FRTIB is looking for a highly qualified and motivated individual to serve as an Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC), and performs a broad range of complex duties associated with planning, implementing, managing, and evaluating a comprehensive information security program for the Agency. This position is located in the Office of Technology Services (OTS).
The major duties of the position are:Ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of software applications and data through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools.Evaluates, acquires, configures, and uses software intended to ensure that automated systems and software applications are secure from unauthorized use, viruses, and other problems that would compromise sensitive information in terms of confidentiality, integrity, and availability, or would compromise other aspects of overall system security.Reviews and evaluates information security policies, and identifies the need for change based on new security technologies or threats. Tests and implements new policies, and institutes measures to ensure awareness and compliance.Initiates contact and provides expert technical advice and direction regarding information security to contractors involved in software applications development, testing, and deployment.Reviews and evaluates information security policies, and identifies the need for change based on new security technologies or threats.
