Basic Requirements: Degree: dietetics, food, nutrition, food service management, institution management, or related science.
Dietitian: The curriculum must have been in accordance with the qualifying requirements established by The American Dietetic Association (ADA) in effect at the time of graduation.
GS-11: One year of specialized experience in developing detailed nutritional care plans; providing nutritional consulting services to patients; assessing nutritional needs related to several types of diabetes; interviewing techniques and patient care management; providing nutritional education to individuals, families, and community groups.
Three years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
Graduate Education: Completion of graduate level education (as listed above), in addition to meeting the basic requirements, is qualifying for the GS-11 if it provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
This position has an education requirement. You must submit a copy of your transcripts (or a list of your courses including titles, credit hours completed and grades).
