This position reports to the Customer Access and Support Division with in the Office of Information Systems Management at NIST.

Incumbent will serve as an IT Specialist in the Customer Access and Support Division of the Office of Information Systems Management (OISM) for the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Primary responsibility is to administer, support, and troubleshoot Managed Desktop Services for Mac and Linux clients that include detecting desktop security vulnerabilities, enterprise-wide patch and software deployment services, secure configuration, and documenting managed desktop services following Information Management Lifecycle (ILM) best practices. Collaborate in the identification of critical requirements and information technology management practices, challenges, and solutions.

Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to ZP-III (GS-12 or ZP-III level). Specialized experience is defined as:Linux administration, Programming or Shell Scripting, and Secure Configurations (STIG, IAVA, CIS, USGCB).
