The FRTIB is an Independent Federal Agency responsible for administering the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP). We help Federal employees and members of the Uniformed Services retire with dignity by providing benefits similar to private sector 401(k) plans. The incumbent serves as an IT Project Manager on the Project Management Branch (PMB) within the Business Applications Division (BAD), and has responsibility for managing various projects for the acquisition, development, and implementation of IT solutions and applications that continuously add value to the TSP.

Duties

The major duties of the position are:

· Offers project management guidance on projects involving the Office of Technology Services, and promotes Project Management Institutes' best practice standards through an overall comprehensive plan as well as individual project plans.

· Manages the triple project constraints of scope, time, and cost.

· Participates in ensuring the Branch activities align with the Project Management Office, follow established procedures, and enable Agency and contractor staff to work efficiently with clearly defined objectives and project schedules.

· Manages project plans involving new and upgraded TSP applications.
