Duties

This position involves a multi-grade career ladder. The major duties listed below represent the full performance level of GS-13. At the GS-11 grade level, the incumbent performs assignments of a more limited scope and with less independence. The incumbent will progressively acquire the background necessary to perform at the full performance level of GS-13. Promotion is at the discretion of the supervisor and is contingent upon satisfactory performance, availability of higher level work, and availability of funds. Promotion is not guaranteed and no promise of promotion is implied.

This position is located within the Office of Information and Technology (OI&T), Enterprise Applications. You will serve as a Senior Information Technology Specialist in the Financial Operation Support located in Washington, DC.

The duties are similar to those of GS-12, except for the fact that you will not have the requisite experience to perform all of the duties of the position without greater degree of supervisory assistance and review than contemplated in the full performance GS-13 position description. The supervision becomes progressively less detailed as you gain further experience. You may be promoted no-competitively to the full performance level provided that work at the higher level continues to exist and you demonstrate the ability to perform it; and also the time-in-grade and other administrative requirements have been met.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for providing information technology (IT) analysis and support during the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the Enterprise Applications.

Responsible for the IT functional design of Enterprise Applications

Responsible for tasks of an exceptionally complex, multi tasked national project requiring simultaneous development in a number of complicated areas.

Apply general principles of Circular A-127, Federal Information Processing standards, and Joint Financial Management Improvement Project (JFMIP) standards when making changes to procedures or processes in Enterprise Application, and any modification to Enterprise Applications and any interfacing applications.

Interacts with vendors and contractors on a regular basis to ensure proper execution of contract deliverables from an IT perspective

Develop and conducts tests of new projects and modifications of design to the extent required

Perform other related duties as assigned
