Position Summary: Serves as a Security Specialist Team Leader over several two-grade interval Security Specialist positions and communicates and integrates the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision, and values into the team's strategies, goals, objectives, work plans, products and services. 

Location: Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC), Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), 711th Human Performance Wing (711 HPW), Management Operations (OM), Security (OMS), Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH

MAJOR DUTIES:

Communicates and integrates the organization’s strategic plan, mission, vision and values into the team’s strategies, goals, objectives, work plans, products, and services.

Conducts special activities in management/security areas and leads team efforts in security functional areas of OPSEC, technology protection planning, personnel, industrial, force protection/anti-terrorism, and information security.

Advises management and employees of legal and regulatory provisions, requirements, and processes related to security management/supervision and security administration.

Plans, organizes, and administers Physical Security programs for the 711 Human Performance Wing

Assists the Chief of Security with managing the Information, Industrial, Personnel, Communications (COMSEC), Operations (OPSEC), Special Access Security Programs, and Anti-Terrorism and Technology Protection programs to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and fulfillment of customer needs.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:  Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent at least to the DO-01 band level or GS-11 grade level or equivalent alternate pay systems.  Specialized experience is experience in managing or administering Physical Security programs AND Anti-Terrorism and Technology programs.

 

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.  You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
