Time-in-grade: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS-5 grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
Specialized Experience:Applicants must have One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-5) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: involves meeting and working with individuals or families in the community, or with community agencies, requiring an ability to establish and maintain community contacts, positive work relationships and to perform related office support duties; communicating and working effectively with individual members of the particular population group served, homeless; participates in the day-to-day activities for the homeless group in maintaining order, referral directories reporting of discipline issues, and safety giving practical advice and warnings to individuals on everyday problems of adjustment to issues related to the homeless Veteran group; positions which involve work that is in direct support of professional counselors or other specialists who counsel the homeless and unemployed; making contacts in the community to obtain cooperation from the Veteran and with the program; contacts those individuals in the community that the program is intended to serve, homeless Veterans, and advising them regarding the services and requirements for participation; maintaining the necessary records, case files, and occupational and maintains directories of referral information, and similar office work

Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study leading to a

with a professional staff member driving an automobile. The work may require
carrying a clipboard, or program brochures and forms. Clerical work involves
handling file and documents in an office setting.
