The WJBD VAMC is seeking an outstanding psychologist to join our Outpatient Clinic within the Mental Health Service located at the Florence, South Carolina Community Based Outpatient Clinic. The successful candidate will diagnose mental disorders, conduct psychological and/or neuropsychological assessments, treat mental disorders through a variety of modalities and provides adjunctive interventions for treatment of medical disorders. Among the evidenced based therapy modalities provided are individual, family, and group psychotherapies, and other interventions such as motivational interviewing, and recovery oriented services or environmental interventions. He/she will consult with medical center staff on a wide variety of patient care issues. He/she may also be involved in program evaluation and/or research activities assigned. Performs other duties as assigned. Work Schedule:Monday - Friday; 8:00am to 4:30pm (with flexiblity as needed)
Salary: Applicant's education and experience will be reviewed by a Professional Standards Board in determining the grade and salary of the applicant selected. The recommended salary may be at any point in the range listed for this vacancy.
