This position is located in the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), Vice President for Research (VPR).  The Office of the Vice President of Research (VPR) is responsible for facilitating, promoting and overseeing the research activities at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS).

  

 

Duties

As a Program Support Assistant (Office Automation) your duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Prepares documents and exchanges information for the Department within Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) and outside organizations through correspondence, electronic mail, telephone inquiry and face-to-face discussions maintaining notes of conversation.
  • Provides a variety of typing/office automation support to the Office of the Vice President of Research (VPR) faculty and staff.
  • Designs and maintains an efficient filing system of correspondence, abstracts and manuscripts, grant proposals and educational materials that serves as a facile retrieval system for correspondence and documents prepared for each faculty and/or their staff.
  • Serves as an authoritative source of information for administrative procedures related to federal government time and attendance.
  • Recognized authority, serving as the administrator of travel for the organization.
