This position is located in the Clerkship Office, San Antonio Military Medical Center, but organizationally in the Uniformed Services University (USU), E. Edward Hebert School of Medicine, in the Department of Medicine.  You will serve as the Administrative Specialist and will provide direct support to the Co-Director for the Uniformed Services University (USU) Internal Medicine Clerkships Program.  You will perform duties regarding the management for the two Clerkship Directors, at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center, Lackland Air Force Base (AFB), San Antonio Military Medical Center, San Antonio.  


As a Program Support Specialist your duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinates all aspects of the internal medicine clerkship rotation (third medical students) at both Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center and San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC).
  • Responsible for administrative duties associated with preparing final clerkship grades for 80 students.
  • Ensures preparation of recurring and special administrative reports and independently follows-up on administrative action through their completion.
  • Operates and maintains computer programs for research, educational programs, statistical or educational analysis.
