JOB SUMMARY:

 

This position is for a National Guard Non-Dual status (NDS) technician only and military membership is not required. The position meets the criteria of the NDS Management plan as follows: The position resides within the infrastructure and supports functions of the state National Guard. Veterans' preference is not used for hiring and retention. You may disregard any reference to questions or information contained in this announcement pertaining to veterans' preference.

The incumbent will:

  • Review manual and automated authorization documents for military organizations and prepare reports. Evaluate historical documents for accuracy and completeness.

  • Accurately prepare forms and memorandums.

  • Conduct physical inventories of equipment and prepare accurate documents

  • Review equipment on hand balances against authorization documents for accuracy. Identify errors and prepare recommended resolutions.

  • Coordinate and plan events with other staff members. Access and analyze data, for decision making on redistribution of excess property. Maintain files and records for inspections and audits.

  • Communicate orally and in writing with military and civilian personnel.

  • Receipt for and issue equipment. Prepare equipment for shipment or transfer.

  • Review documents and perform inspections of military organizations to ensure property accountability and stewardship of government resources.
  • Assist in training military supply and property management personnel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

In order to qualify for this position you must possess the following:

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level in the Federal service that includes performing the following duties with minimal supervision:

  • Advising on supply regulations, policies, procedures, or related instructions;
  • Using automated property accountability systems to inventory, control, or store supplies;
  • Performing technician or specialist work in support of supply management, inventory management, excess property management, or storage management;
  • Compiling, analyzing, and summarizing information related to supply requirements.
