Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience with professional nursing principles, procedures and clinical treatment and training in infusion therapy;
Competency of insertion, care, maintenance, troubleshooting, documentation, and education of peripherally inserted vascular access devices;
Technical and clinical skill in the delivery of complex, highly corrosive parenteral therapies;
Recognition and management of adverse reactions to transfusion therapy, assessing blood grouping, blood and blood components and equipment; and
Experience with performance improvement activities that insure proper planning, implementing, evaluation and monitoring for desired outcomes and standards of practice.
A Ph.D. or equivalent; or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education with a concentration in a field of nursing or in a closely related non-nursing field directly applicable to the requirements of the position to be filled.
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
BASIC EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: A degree or diploma from a professional nursing program approved by the legally designated State accrediting agency at the time you completed the program.
BASIC CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT: Possess current, active, and unrestricted licensure as a professional registered nurse in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

This position requires a current Basic Life Support (BLS) and a Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
IV Certification, PICC Line Insertion, line maintenance and chemotherapy certification required within 3 months of employment and before any of the listed procedures can be accomplished independently without supervision of a certified provider.
