About the Position: Thisjob provides the opportunity to support the mission of the Corpus Christi ArmyDepot; which is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernizehelicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign militarycustomers. The Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is the Army's Center ofIndustrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance and isthe world's largest helicopters overhaul and repair facility. CCAD serves asthe depot training base for active duty Army, National Guard, Reserve andforeign military personnel. We also provide worldwide on-site maintenanceservices, aircraft crash analysis, lubricating oil analysis, and chemical,metallurgical and training support. Positions include those providing supportto the maintenance of helicopters in a variety of shops or in an officesetting.

modify, overhaul, reassemble, test, and troubleshoot aircraft transmissions,
gear boxes. Reviews historical records, physical condition, and appearance of
units and disassemble for minor repairs. Determines repair needed. Checks parts
and items to be used to determine proper identity and assure serviceability.
Certifies completion of work requirements on work documents, records any
required measurement data, and completes required entries on historical
documents. Disassembles, Routes items to process, Examine and evaluates, and
performs subassembly and final assembly. Works transmissions and gearboxes and
associated technical manuals. Checks item for obvious leaks/defects prior to
test. Trouble shoots transmission and gearbox defects during test. Compares
pre-and post-test end play, backlash and gear wear patterns. Records
determination and indicates probable rework needed if item fails test.
