About the Position:

This Vacancy is with Directorate of Infrastructure Operations at Corpus Christi Army Depot.This job provides the opportunity to support the mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot; which is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. The Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance and is the world's largest helicopters overhaul and repair facility. CCAD serves as the depot training base for active duty Army, National Guard, Reserve and foreign military personnel. We also provide worldwide on-site maintenance services, aircraft crash analysis, lubricating oil analysis, and chemical, metallurgical and training support. Positions include those providing support to the maintenance of helicopters in a variety of shops or in an office setting.

You will perform duties in support of maintenance projects involving a multitude of trades by providing required materials on a priority basis.  Incumbent initiates documentation required in the processing of parts and materials to depot process action shops, e.g. Plating, Heat Treat, Metal Spray, Welding, as well as supply and procurement actions.  Initiates procurement process to order equipment parts, hardware, special materials and tools, to meet manufacturing or service shop priorities and work schedules.  Utilizes credit card purchase procedures on significant down equipment, material shortages or delays. Produces various computer output products and similar work-related document to acquire reports.  Light typing may be required (qualified typist is not required).  Receives and examines materials, parts, components and assemblies ordered to verify identify, quantify and work order number.  Prepares quality control worksheets, production control work orders, documents for the movement of turn-in of materials, etc.  Stores items and assembles into kits, lots of units.  Operates vehicles such as forklifts, light trucks and scooters.

Screen Out - Your resume must indicate your ability to do the work of a Material Expeditor (FLO) without  more than normal supervision performing the following duties:  1) receiving, storing, and shipping supplies, materials, or equipment; 2) using equipment specifications to verify the accuracy of receiving and shipping documents with actual type, quantity, and quality of materials; 3) comparing contract documents and bills against materials received to verify accuracy and completeness of order; 4) recording and updating stock location to identify item or materials location, nomenclature, stock number, quantity, and units of issue; and 5) documenting reasons for overages, shortages, misplacements and damages.

Your resume will be reviewed for experience which provided skills and knowledge of (1) Work Practices (includes keeping things neat, clean, and in order); (2) Technical Practices (Theoretical, precise, artistic); (3) Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (other than blueprints); (4) Knowledge of Materials; and (5) Dexterity and Safety.

PHYSICAL EFFORT:Work is primarily physical in nature. Considerable walking on hard surfaces, standing, bending. Carrying and lifting of materials, parts and/or components are associated with performance of duties. Occasionally handles loads that may exceed 35 pounds with assistance from another worker or weight handling equipment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:Work is performed in shop office/production maintenance environment and involves exposure to moving machinery and outside conditions on a recurring basis. Regularly exposed to shop noises, dirt, dust, grease, fumes and the possibility of cuts, scrapes, bruises, falls or injury from falling objects and collisions in areas that are hot, cold, drafty or poorly lighted. The use of personal protective equipment such as shields, safety glasses, steel toe boots, gloves, etc. is required.
