In order to be qualified for this position, you must have successfully completed a four year course of study leading to a Bachelor's or higher degree with a major in an academic field related to the health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position.
In addition, to qualify at the GS-14 level, you must possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal Service, that includes participating in the design and conduct of laboratory experiments requiring the application of a broad professional knowledge of scientific theories and principles of applicable research discipline; evaluating research results from basic, pre-clinical, or epidemiological studies; producing studies and written reports, including scientific manuscripts and analytical reports.

Status (merit promotion) candidates must submit a SF-50 (notification of personnel action) that demonstrates serving 52 weeks at the next lower level and includes your name, position title, pay plan, series, grade, tenure, position occupied, agency, etc. It must also show competitive service and permanent or conditional appointment or- that you are from an agency with an interchange agreement.
