About the Position:
This Vacancy is with Directorate of Infrastructure Operations at Corpus Christi Army Depot.This job provides the opportunity to support the mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot; which is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. The Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is the Army’s Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance and is the world’s largest helicopters overhaul and repair facility. CCAD serves as the depot training base for active duty Army, National Guard, Reserve and foreign military personnel. We also provide worldwide on-site maintenance services, aircraft crash analysis, lubricating oil analysis, and chemical, metallurgical and training support. Positions include those providing support to the maintenance of helicopters in a variety of shops or in an office setting.

You will serve as a Production Machinery Mechanic Supervisor responsible for planning and directing work operations and exercising administrative authorities. Plans use of subordinate workers' equipment, facilities, and materials on a week-to-week or month-to-month basis. Establish deadlines, priorities, and work sequences. Determine the number and types of workers needed to accomplish specific projects. Observe work in progress. Investigate problematic situations and implements corrective action. Supervise workers that perform multi-craft duties requiring knowledge and skills of allied trades such as electronic mechanic, pipefitting, electrician, and material expediter at intermediate or lower level.

SCREEN-OUT ELEMENT:  I have the ability to supervise others performing multi-craft duties requiring knowledge and skills of allied trades such as electronic mechanic, pipefitting, electrician, and material expeditor at intermediate or lower level. I have independently assembled, modified, maintained and repaired production machinery components. I have a complete knowledge of the design, principles and operating characteristics of mechanical components.  I read and understand blueprints and scale drawings to check dimensions and make corrections and/or additions. I adapt equipment or make specifications changes.  I use the tools, equipment and special tools of the trade and advise workers in their safe and proper use. I have ability to indentify cause of malfunction and to trace and locate operational failures.
FAILURE TO MEET THE SCREEN-OUT ELEMENT WILL RESULT IN AN INELIGIBLE RATING.
In addition to meeting the screen out element, your resume will be evaluated against the following elements: (1) Knowledge of Equipment Assembly Installation, Repair, etc. to include Tools and Equipment to use. (2) Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specification, (includes blueprinting reading), mathematics, algebra and trigonometric. (3) Knowledge of Materials. (4) Troubleshooting.

PHYSICAL EFFORT: Requires walking, climbing, crawling, working in strained and cramped positions, lifting tools, equipment and components up to 35 pounds without assistance, and over 35 pounds with assistance from another worker or weight handling equipment.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed inside and outside, frequently in cramped or awkward positions. Subject to inadequate ventilation, dirt, noise, grease, cuts, bruises, electrical shock, strains, falls from ladders, burns, disagreeable odors and high temperatures. Danger to skin and eyes from flying chips, abrasive particles and hot metal. Danger from high speed operating equipment in engine and transmission test cells. Work requires use of personal protective, equipment such as, but not limited to, half/full face respirators, air pack, dusk masks, safety glasses, and shoes appropriate to the work are and work performed. Discomfort may be experienced while wearing protective equipment
