This position is located in the Intramural Clinical Management and Operations Branch (ICMOB), Division of Clinical Research (DCR), National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), National Institutes of Health (NIH).
If selected for this position as a Genetic Counselor, your duties will include:
- Serve as a liaison with genetics/genetic counseling societies, patient support groups and other non-governmental agencies
- Screen families for appropriateness of available genetic testing.
- Brief NIAID officials on emerging genetic counseling issues.
- Participate in ongoing clinical quality control within the Branch, making suggestions for how best to integrate and execute genetic services to NIAID patients.
