This position is located in Silver Spring, MD.



Major Duties:This position is located in the Immediate Office (IO), Office of Regulatory Policy (ORP), Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER).


Analyzes and evaluated the program needs of the office to create and maintain tracking systems by recording all administrative activity for employees, FWAPs, Performance Plans, step increases, and other actions. Screens all incoming requests and incoming documents for appropriate action or information.  Takes judicious interim action on deadline items.  Based on organizational knowledge, independently identifies appropriate resources and gathers requested information. Logs and track the status of all projects.  Keeps supervisor informed of new projects. Explains, negotiates, and communicates information regarding operating Center-level meetings and all on-going operations, as well as special projects, and responses t technical an don-technical correspondence. Obtains clarifies, or exchanges information that must be coordinated through senior level staff.  Exercises judgment in examining reports from other CDER and Agency offices regarding  projects.  Plans, organizes, and carries out special projects relating to the work of IO.  Provides immediate and continuing staff assistance to the supervisor on a variety of confidential and sensitive matters by keeping abreast of all ongoing operations and management activities.
