This announcement is issued under the direct-hire authority to recruit for positions for which there is a critical hiring need.  Selectee(s) will receive a career or career-conditional appointment in the competitive service and may be required to serve a one year probationary period.

More than one selection may be made from this announcement should the need arise.

Duties

Major duties at the full performance level include, but are not limited to:

• Provide project planning and operational support to the Agency’s Industrial Control Systems Cyber Emergency Response Team (ICS-CERT) in order to reduce cyber risk to critical infrastructure control systems.
• Evaluate and assess cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and risks that have the potential to affect control systems within critical infrastructure.
• Conduct incident handling analysis and response activities as needed for private sector ICS stakeholders.
• Prepare and review written reports, information products, and briefing materials for outreach and situational awareness.
• Conduct briefings, presentations, training, and other communications to leadership and stakeholders for events, incidents, or key initiatives involving the cybersecurity of critical infrastructure control systems.  
• Evaluate existing tools, training, and methods and recommend changes or enhancements for greater efficiencies.
