The role of this position includes serving as Technical Manager, Technical Health, Safety, Environmental and Hazardous Material/Waste office and Technical Quality Assurance Manager.

Typical work assignments include:
- Provides technical leadership in evaluating and recommending the adoption of new or enhanced testing approaches.
- Troubleshoots, adjusts, modifies, and improves test systems.
- Operates equipment being tested and records the data collected.
- Develops novel research instruments, test devices, or prototype components.
- Designs, develops, implements, and maintains systems and services.
- Participates in field test activities.
