  • Identify, propose and implement solutions to Integrated Logistics Support planning issues that have an effect on Acquisition Program direction.
  • Conduct analyses and coordinate activities involving logistics program matters affecting procurement initiatives.
  • Develop specific requirements, long-term goals and objectives and schedules for the completion of analysis and studies.
  • Develop new techniques to measure Integrated Logistic Support program accomplishments, results and effectiveness.
  • Direct, manage and oversee the development and execution of the Integrated Logistics Support program, and initiate projects to support overall Integrated Logistics Support program accomplishment.
  • Assist Acquisition Programs on the development and execution of the Integrated Logistics Support Requirements, and initiate projects to support overall Integrated Logistics Support Requirements program accomplishment.
  • Ensure Integrated Logistics Support strategies meet program goals for operational maintainability, suitability, effectiveness and readiness.

To qualify for the GS-13 position, you must possess the following: To qualify at the grade GS-13, you must have at least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-12 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors).  This experience must include activities such as: 1) planning the Integrated Logistics Support of goods and services in support of Acquisition Programs mission objective; 2) assisting with the development and implementation of Integrated Logistics Support artifacts, policies and procedures related to the acquisition of goods and services; 3) analyzing findings, creating and modifying processes, and evaluating the effectiveness of Integrated Logistic Support programs; 4) ensuring Integrated Logistics Supportability requirements are consistent with cost, schedule, and performance requirements; and 5) communicating verbally and in writing in order to prepare and present oral briefings and reports that justify a course of action.  (The contents of your resume "must" support your claim of specialized experience.)

 

To qualify for the GS-14 position, you must possess the following: To qualify at the grade GS-14, you must have at least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-13 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors).  This experience must include activities such as: 1) managing and planning the Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) of goods and services in ILS of Acquisition Program objectives; 2) developing and implementing ILS artifacts, policies and procedures related to the acquisition of goods and services; 3) analyzing findings, creating and modifying processes, and evaluating the effectiveness of ILS programs; 4) developing detailed ILS artifacts and ensuring  the accomplishments of Integrated Logistic Support (ILS includes: Product Support Management (PSM), Design Interface, Sustaining Engineering Supply Support, Maintenance Planning and Management, Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation (PHS&T), Technical Data, Support Equipment, Training and Training Support, Manpower and Personnel, Facilities and Infrastructure, and Computer Resources) activities within available or allocated resources, funds, manpower, facilities, equipment, supplies, and services to meet long-term goals and objectives; and 5) communicating verbally and in writing in order to prepare and present oral briefings and reports that justify a course of action.  (The contents of your resume "must" support your claim of specialized experience.)


Education in lieu of specialized experience cannot be substituted for this position; please do not submit transcripts.

New employees must serve a one year probationary period.

 

You must have and maintain a Logistics Level III certification or be able to obtain certification within 18 months.

 

This position may be designated as essential personnel.  Essential personnel must be able to serve during continuity of operation events without regard to declarations of liberal leave or government closures due to weather, protests, and acts of terrorism or lack of funding.  Failure to report for or remain in this position may result in disciplinary or adverse action in accordance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, (Ch. 75 Title 5 USC; CFR Part 752, Adverse Actions).

 

 

HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED:
