NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED:  This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatibility assignment in the National Guard.  Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP STATUS:  Employment in this position requires concurrent military assignment to a compatible military position in the New Jersey National Guard in one of the following military specialty codes:

AFSC: Must have a minmum 3 Level in 1N0XX or compatible Intelligence Analyst from another branch of service that may be converted to the AFSC.

  

LEVEL OF CLEARANCE/INVESTIGATION:  MUST HAVE A SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE. MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN  AND MAINTAIN A TOP SECRET CLEARANCE WITHIN ONE YEAR OF HIRE.

 

SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTORSTo obtain the required AFSC, acceptance of this position requires a minimum ASVAB Score of  56  in the General area.  ASVAB scores will not be required to apply for the position, however applicants must obtain required ASVAB scores prior to acceptance of the position.  The applicant must verify their scores with their Military Personnel Flight/Military Personnel Office.

DUTIES: 

Assists Senior Intelligence Officer in assuring the Intelligence function maintains a capability to provide timely and accurate operational intelligence support and fully trained intelligence personnel during peacetime and contingency operations.  Incumbent is recognized as an organization expert with functional assignment.  Coordinates training requirements with Gaining Command Intelligence Section.  Assists in training and testing aircrew on worldwide threats that potentially could affect mission success to include surface-to air missile (SAM), air to air missile (AAM), anti-aircraft artillery(AAA), and aircraft threats.  Develops scenarios for unit training missions.  Performs assigned operational intelligence research and analysis, and, based on thorough understanding of the significance of conditions and trends, develops and projects data and draws meaningful conclusions and clear estimates based on current and past intelligence situations.  Manages the Intelligence Mobility Program to guarantee all unit personnel and equipment is properly prepared for worldwide tasking and deployments.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:  Experience, education, or training which demonstrates administrative, professional, investigative, or technical work requiring the ability to deal effectively with others, to collect, evaluate and organize pertinent facts.  Experience preparing clear and concise written reports.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:  Must have 36 months experience, education or training developing and recommending policy, organizing and carrying out specific programs evaluating and recommending changes in methods of intelligence operations.

KNOWLEDGE of a variety of intelligence specialist areas.

KNOWLEDGE of intelligence support  operations, procedures and practices.

KNOWLEDGE of collection and dissemination techniques and sources

ABILITY to produce instructions and manuals with a minimum of direction.

ABILITY to evaluate and interpret raw intelligence data and prepares reports based on the analysis of patterns, trends and characteristics.


SUBSTITUTION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCEA Maximum of 12 months of the required experience may be substituted by successful completion of undergraduate study in an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 semester hours for 12 months of experience.  The education must have been in fields directly related for the type of work of the position.
