This position will serve as a memeber for an Interdisciplinary Planning Team engaged in a variety of programs and projects at the landscape scale.
There may be more than one position filled from this vacancy announcement.
This is an interdisciplinary position that will be advertised under two separate series, GS-401 and GS-460, you must apply to each series if you wish to be considered under both.
This position plans and integrates the diverse vegetation management program on the Forest, utilizing an interdisciplinary; ecosystem orientated approach in coordination with a variety of resource speiclaists. Oversees, develops and analyzes a complex program of vegetation management activities, including timber sales to meet forest land and multiple-use resource management plan goals and objectives.
Establihses and maintains cooperative relationships with local, county, State, other federal officials, civic groups, cooperators, contractors and the public.
Develops and reviews environmental analysis reports, environmental assessments, and environmenal impact statements for technical adequacy.
