U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is an agency within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security comprised of 15,000 Federal employees and contractors working in approximately 250 Headquarters and field offices around the world.   We are responsible for the administration of immigration and naturalization adjudication functions and establishing immigration services policies and priorities.

Our functions include:

·          Adjudication of immigrant visa petitions

·          Adjudication of naturalization petitions

·          Adjudication of asylum and refugee applications

·          Adjudication performed at Service Centers

As Northeast Regional Director, you will be responsible for carrying out the overall mission of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) at the regional level. In your assigned region of operations, you will be responsible for the administration of immigration benefits and services, including the processing of citizenship applications, family and employment-based petitions and registration carried out through Districts under your jurisdiction.

You will be responsible for the administration of key national goals and priorities for the immigration benefits program and directly responsible for results to Headquarters' senior management. You will represent USCIS interests, concerns, and relationships within the Department of Homeland Security and among other agencies within and outside of the Department.

You will provide executive leadership and direction to the District Directors under your supervision to ensure effective and efficient program and financial management. You will ensure that Districts under your jurisdiction carry out programs in conformance with federal immigration laws, regulations, policies, and procedures governing the adjudication of citizenship and adjustment of status applications and petitions. You and your staff will contribute to the development of national policy based on regional perspectives for all immigration benefits programs. You will report to the Associate Director, Field Operations, and be responsible for identifying problems and issues that may have significant regional or national impact.
