Incumbent receives, assesses, routes, or otherwise handles incoming and outgoing materials
such as controlled or routine correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other forms of written
communication. Performs the following duties: tracks controlled correspondence; composes
and edits correspondence, letters and reports; reviews correspondence and other written
documents for accuracy and completeness; and develops standard or form letters and replies
to inquiries. Develops background information and prepares outlines for
Performs office automation duties which include the preparation of ad hoc and reoccurring
reports, forms, correspondence, and presentation materials which may include complex
graphs, charts; and tabular material. Compiles, organizes, and tracks program data which
may include statistical information in support of the organization's program operations.
Enters pertinent information into a variety of automated tracking systems and maintains
program-specific data to track items such as project milestones, progress reports, funding and
expenditure data, etc. Services of a qualified typist is required.
Manages the appointment and meeting schedule for the Director of the organizational unit
served, and those of other senior staff members as directed. Serves as point-of-contact or
scheduling meetings for conference rooms. Schedules appointments, coordinates meetings,
and/or schedules conferences. Researches and provides background on subject matter of
meetings without direction.
