As the Program Manager incumbent will act as Deputy Mission Director for the USAID Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). He/She is responsible for monitoring USAID assistance efforts in DRC, providing operational guidance and direction of program activities, and recommending resource allocations for programs in the country.
As the Program Manager to the Mission Director you will be responsible for:
- Providing leadership in promoting sustainable development assistance programs and provides broad policy direction and external coordination for the Mission to meet the goals and objectives of the Bureau for Africa and the Agency.
- Reviewing and coordinating USAID guidance, policy determinations, and delegations of authority on all matters related to the Mission’s functions to provide official status and continuity.
- Formulating strategic program plans that assess policy and program feasibility and include realistic short- and long-term goals and objectives to maximize development assistance program results, inline with the principles of collaborative learning models.
- Serving as the primary Agency advisor on various programs and events. Advises on the appropriate methods and techniques to use in order to achieve program goals and objectives.
