The positions are located in the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Office of Foods and Veterinary Medicine (OFVM), Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM) located in Rockville and/or Laurel, Maryland.

Duties

• Serves as an assistant in program support areas and performs a variety of duties related to the operation of the Office, including program coordination and administrative activities such as drafting correspondence, data entry in various computer systems, establishing filing systems and record keeping.
• Prepares special reports, presentations, and summaries for the Director and other Office staff.
• Conducts basic analysis of program, policies and procedures and assists in improving processes as needed.
• Serves as a contact for incoming requests for administrative action.
• Briefs superiors on a variety of confidential matters pertaining to administrative operations.
• Assisting in property management for the office, maintaining time and attendance records, electronically preparing travel documents and assisting with various duties related to on-boarding new employees.
• Assists in procurement such as purchases using the International Merchant Purchase Agreement Card (IMPAC) card.
