This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to do the work of a Fuel Distribution System Worker without more than normal supervision such as: experience performing the common Fuel System Distribution Worker duties, operating equipment to transfer fuels from storage tanks to tanker trucks, small craft or shore pipelines under close supervision and subject to inspection upon completion of tasks, operating gasoline and diesel powered trucks with a gross vehicle weight of up to 32,000 pounds, performing preventive maintenance, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, packing and lubricating valves, replacing filters and strainers and installing gaskets.

QUALITY RANKING FACTOR: This position has a Quality Ranking Factor (QRF). You do not have to possess the factor in order to be rated eligible; however, applicants possessing the factor will receive additional points. You must possess and maintain a Coast Guard Tankerman license. If selected, you will be required to submit a copy of your license.
You may be required to work other than normal duty hours to perform off schedule fuel operations, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays and is subject to emergency callbacks.
The employee is designated essential and will be required to remain at, or report to, work when notified.
The employee will be required to take part in readiness exercises and contingency operations.
