The Program Coordinator of the Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Clinical Team (PCT) is responsible for managing daily operation of the program, developing policies and procedures for program operation, and preparing reports for facility, VISN, NEPEC and/or national use.  The Program Coordinator is also responsible for the clinical program providing treatment to patients in a major specialty area.  They provide direct patient care services in the program area, along with team members.  The incumbent practices independently in the profession, providing consultation and guidance to colleagues, role-model effective practice skills, educate or provide orientation to less-experienced incumbents and/or interns; develop innovation practice interventions and provide clinical supervision for social work licensure or certification.

Duties also include administrative responsibilities for clinical development and accountability for clinical program effectiveness and modification of treatment modules; this includes ancillary, cognitive-based, and evidence-based treatment.  The Coordinator is assigned to work with special patient populations with highly complex health/mental health problems along with co-morbid conditions; treatment interventions should be innovative, recovery-focused and individualized.  The incumbent is also assigned the responsibility for education Veterans and their families along with the community and colleagues.  As a professional within the Behavioral Medicine Service, the incumbent will attend staff meetings, treatment planning meetings, as well as assist with strategic planning, which includes discharge planning, peer reviews and process improvements.

Work Schedule:  Monday - Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.

This position may require early mornings, evenings and/or weekends and holidays.  Participation on the On Call rotation schedule to accommodate patient care needs during weekends, holidays, evenings, and nights is necessary.

This position is located in Behavioral Medicine Service.
