This position is located at DFMWR, Business Operations Division, Wheeler Army Airfield, Hawaii

 

Responsible for overall management and direction of the Directorate, Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation (DFMWR) Business Division at a large garrison, to include most of the following activities: Clubs, Food and Beverage, Entertainment, Bowling, Golf, Rod and Gun Clubs, Mobile Snack Facilities, Public-Private Venture, contracted business operations, Lodging Operations, NAF Recycling, Value Added Taxes, and Hunting, Fishing, and Sport Shooting. May coordinate with officials responsible for AAFES and the Army Recreation Machine Program

Through subordinate activity managers, is responsible for overall management and direction of the Directorate, Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation (DFMWR) Business Division at a large garrison, to include most of the following activities: Clubs, Food and Beverage, Entertainment, Bowling, Golf, Rod and Gun Clubs, Mobile Snack Facilities, Public-Private Venture, contracted business operations, Lodging Operations, NAF Recycling, Value Added Taxes, and Hunting, Fishing, and Sport Shooting. May coordinate with officials responsible for AAFES and the Army Recreation Machine Program. Provides policies and guidance to ensure attainment of the established objectives of the division.
Directs, develops and administers plans and procedures. Implements, enforces, and ensures compliance with regulations to provide aggressive community business program which meets the needs and interests of the military community. Provides sound leadership and supervision to ensure attainment of the established objectives of the division. Reviews program objectives and priorities, and develops five-year plan with Capitol Purchase Minor Construction (CPMC) and Annual Operating Budgets covering projected programs of division resources. Develops and/or recommends methods, operations, and programs to ensure profitable business activities income.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Possess three (3) or more years work experience directing/managing multi-unit Business Operations activities for a garrison, or similar civilian operation.


 

Conditions of employment:

1. A one-year probationary period may be required upon selection.

5. Social Security Card must be presented at time of appointment.

6. Priority consideration will be given to current and former NAF and current DOD APF employees serving in a continuous APF position without time limits for at least one year.

**Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R. Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 30 August 1993.
