HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED:
We will review your resume and cover letter to determine if you meet the minimum qualification requirements for the position. Your responses to the job questionnaire will serve as the basis for your initial rating in one of three pre-defined categories "gold," "silver," and "bronze." Within each category, those eligible through veterans preference will be listed at the top of the category. More information about the three categories can be found at: http://www.nist.gov/hrmd/staffing/categoryrating.cfm.
The candidates in the highest category will be certified for referral to the selecting official. If you are applying as a MERIT candidate, we will review your resume, optional cover letter and supporting documentation to determine if you meet the minimum qualifications for the position. If you meet the minimum qualifications stated in the vacancy announcement, we will compare your resume, operational cover letter and supporting documentation to your responses on the scored occupational questionnaire. However, your resume or optional cover letter must support your responses to the self-assessment questions, or your score may be lowered. The best-qualified candidates will be identified for referral to the hiring manager and may be invited to an interview. ICTAP and CTAP candidates will be eligible if it is determined that they have exceeded the minimum qualifications for the position by attaining at least a rating of 85 out of 100. Please review your responses before submitting your application to ensure the responses are accurate."
NOTE: Your resume must be complete, detailed and relevant to the position.
