      ·         Complete facilities work orders that require knowledge of maintenance and         construction techniques based on knowledge of facility structure and operations.

    ·         Performs a variety of duties requiring physical abilities.

    ·         Maintains grounds through use of numerous hand tools and mechanical equipment.

    ·         Communicate with team and staff to ensure facility safety guidelines and policies and procedures are followed. Solves facility issues to meet the needs of staff.

    ·         Monitor equipment condition and recommend or complete repairs to ensure all equipment functions as intended and is available for use.

How Do I Qualify for the Job?

Your background must demonstrate the ability to perform maintenance mechanic helper work.

DRIVER's LICENSE: This position require valid state drivers license. Please provide evidence when you submit your application.

PHYSICAL EFFORT: Uses hand and power tools and equipment that may require standing and holding tools in uncomfortable positions for extended periods. The work may require bending, kneeling, and stopping and some strenuous physical exertion is sometimes required when handling heavy and bulky materials such as plywood sheets and other construction materials. Work typically requires climbing on ladders, scaffolding, and rooftops.

May lift and move materials up to 75 pounds, unassisted and occasionally lift or move heavier items with the assistance of lifting devise or other workers. Laborer work requiring the exertion of heavy physical efforts in frequently lifting and moving objects weighing over 100 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in shops and at job sites. In shops is exposed to moderate or high noise levels from operating machinery, sawdust in the air, glue fumes and hazards associated with woodworking and related power equipment. At job sites, may be exposed to weather conditions and hazards of working on and around scaffolds and ladders and are subject to cuts, bruises, and contusions. May work in confined areas such as crawl spaces and attics which may be dusty and dirty. Uses protective devices such as ear plugs, safety glasses, respirators, and gloves; operates a motor vehicle.

EXPERIENCE: A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must show evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality of your ability to do the work of this position. Evidence of specialized experience which demonstrates you possess the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of this position, must be supported by detailed descriptions of your experience on your resume or OF-612.

SCREEN-OUT ELEMENT: Your qualifications will first be evaluated against the prescribed screen out element, which usually appears as question 1 in the on-line questionnaire. Those applicants who appear to possess at least the minimal acceptable qualification requirement are considered for further rating; those who do not are rated ineligible and are eliminated. The potential eligible are then rated against the remainder of the questions.

    WHAT TO EXPECT NEXT:

    First notification: Once the online questionnaire and resume are received, you will receive an acknowledgement email that your submission was successfully received. Receipt of this email does not confirm receipt of the other required document(s): copy of your license or completed OF-306 Addendum form.
