The Loaned Executive Program is a special opportunity (unpaid) that provides top executive-level talent from the private sector an opportunity to share their expertise with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to fill special, discrete needs. Through the Loaned Executive Program, DHS is working with the private sector on innovative solutions to our homeland security challenges. DHS is looking to the nation's top executives and industry experts to partner with us as we strive to solve problems, improve processes, and fully realize our mission. By serving as a Loaned Executive, you will have an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by protecting our nation.
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) seeks to bring in a Loaned Executive to help advise on and clarify issues related to foreign nationals seeking to work in the United States within the Information Technology (IT) industry. The applicant will serve as an expert within USCIS on the IT industry and will work directly with a multidisciplinary team of immigration experts from within the agency on a range of policy and operational issues.
Initial appointments are for six months with the possibility for extension up to one year.
