NOTE: This is a full-time, TEMPORARY (not-to-exceed 9/30/13) position. This appointment may be renewed for additional service in accordance with Agency needs. Temporary positions do not offer health or life insurance benefits and may be terminated at any time before the expiration date. The appointment to a temporary position does not confer eligibility for promotion or reassignment to other positions or the ability to be non-competitively converted to permanent employment.

The Program Support Assistant position is located at the VA Ann Arbor Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI. The employee will serve as a Program Support Assistant in Research Service. Duties include, but may not be limited to the following:

  • Develop research population -specific advertising, ensuring Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval for advertising.
  • Establish relationships with potential recruitment sources.
  • Screen potential participants by phone and in person.
  • Collects and manages patient and laboratory data for clinical research projects.
  • Administrates study procedures.
  • Processes subject compensation.
  • Maintain HIPPA compliant study database of participants.
  • Maintains study procedure records for reporting to various universities and federal agencies.
  • Works closely with principle investigator and team research area specialist to ensure highest standards of clinical research are upheld. 

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
