Future Appointments: May be Permanent, Temporary, or Term with tour of duty of Full-Time, Part-Time or Intermittent. The Agency has option of extending Term appointments for up to a maximum of four years. Temporary positions NTE 12 months or less are subject to termination at any time. The Agency has option of extending Temporary position appointments for up to a maximum of two years.

POSITION DETAILS: Starting Salaries: (May be adjusted for Present/Former Federal Employees)
Title 5: GS-14: $104,458 per Annum; GS-15: $113,735 per Annum
Title 38: Salary may range from $96,539 to $220,000.
Recruitment Incentives: Incentives may include a recruitment or relocation incentive up to 25% (subject to eligibility and approval) and Supplemental or National Student Loan Repayment incentives.
Relocation Expenses: Relocation expenses are authorized and will be paid. You will be required to sign a one year service agreement. Failure to fulfill the one year service agreement may result in repayment of relocation expenses.

- Serves as a Medical Officer by performing diagnosis and treatment of patients seen in the Emergency Room.
- Provides direct medical services including diagnostic, preventive and therapeutic services within an Emergency Room setting to inpatients and outpatients.
- Ensures appropriate medical records are maintained and updated.
- Communicates effectively with patients and families with multiple health problems and of different backgrounds.
