  • Write and edit content which includes web-site material, social media content, articles, speeches, talking points, and press releases on a variety of topics.
  • Present information clearly and at a level appropriate for the intended audience to promote thorough understanding of the cybersecurity mission related to DHS.
  • Assist with web publishing process including posting of articles and other written materials to DHS internal and external websites.
  • Gather information by studying related information and interviewing experts, program managers, and leadership.
  • Analyze the subject and the audience to present the material clearly, accurately, thoroughly and convincingly.
  • Verify with program and technical officials points not fully verifiable through research efforts.
  • Ensure statements in speeches do not conflict with policies and objectives of related programs or positions but are based on fully supported information and credit sources when appropriate.
