The Fort Hunter Liggett FMWRC mission is to create and maintain "FIRST CHOICE" MWR products and services for America's Army, essential to a ready, self-reliant force.

Position is located at the Fitness Center, Fort Hunter Liggett, Jolon, CA.  Primarily will work for the Fitness Center but may be assigned to other areas based on needs and special events.  This is a Regular Full time position.  Schedule will include rotating shifts of 5:00am-8:30pm Monday thru Friday, 8:00am-8:00pm Saturday and 12:00pm-9:00pm Sunday to include occasional holidays.  

Fort Hunter Liggett is the premier National Combat Support Training Center in the Western United States.  Providing fitness and readiness training facilities for training soldiers are essential for their health and well-being.  The FHL fitness center is utilized by all DOD branches for the conduct of readiness training, to include the Army Reserve, Army, Marine, Navy, and the National Guard.  Fort Hunter Liggett is a remote location and landscape provide a realistic training exercise for troops that will deploy to combat.

Assists the Facility Manager in the overall operation of a fitness facility. Circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory; provides information and general instruction on the use of equipment, facilities, and machinery. Assists in setting up for instructors, contractors, events, athletic activities, and related functions. Performs facility cleanliness and/or monitors contracts. Assists with publicity of programs and events and assists with the delivery and placement of posters, flyers and other promotional material. Issues/receives equipment to authorized users. Monitors fitness equipment condition; tracks maintenance and repair or replacement as appropriate. Cleans and performs minor maintenance on facility equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.

Conditions of employment:

1. You must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

2. 5. Direct Deposit is a condition of employment.

6. DA Form 3433-1 supplemental employment application and Form 306 is a condition of employment and must be completed prior to appointment.

7. Complete the MWR Orientation Course and Customer Service training within 6 months of employment.


Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies: Criteria for rating will be  your ability to perform minor maintenance on facility equipment; ensure facility is clean according to guidelines; customer service and ability to demonstrate proper equipment use to patrons. Do not overstate or understate your level of experience and capability. You should be aware that your ratings are subject to evaluation and verification. Questionnaire answers must be substantiated in your resume as to the job duties and requirements of the position. If a determination is made that you have rated yourself higher than is supported by your resume it could be grounds for not being referred or selected for the position.
