This position is located in the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Office of Foods and Veterinary Medicine (OFVM), Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM), Office of Management (OM), Rockville, Maryland.  The incumbent serves as the Training Specialist on the CVM Talent Development Staff (TDS), participating in the design, development, budgeting, marketing, implementation, and evaluation of the Center's training and development programs.

Duties

• Oversees training curricula design, development, budget, implementation, management, and evaluation for the Center's staff.
• Integrates needs assessment findings and other evaluative feedback to develop and/or update training curricula.
• Designs, implements, markets, and evaluates core training curricula.
• Serves as training consultant to each Office on the design, delivery, and evaluation of training for CVM staff.
• Initiates and maintains relationships with area academic institutions to supplement learning activities with broad application.
• Serves as a resource to help staff identify training and development for Individual
Development Plans.
