As a Program Analyst in the National Guard Bureau, State Adjutant General, United States Property and Fiscal Office (USPFO) you will monitor and ensure effectiveness of operations regarding logistics accountability and serve as an advisor to the USPFO regarding compliance, accountability and mission limiting issues.

The National Guard Technician Act of 1968 (32 USC Sect 709) specifically prohibits the application of Veteran's Preference provisions, as contained in 5 USC, for National Guard technicians.  The statute makes no distinction between Dual and Non-Dual Status technicians. This prohibition is also articulated in the House and Senate Reports that accompanied the Technician Act.

·          Serves as an advisor on the evaluation of basic program policies, requirements and procedures.

To qualify for this Program Analyst GS-09 position you must have:


At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 in the Federal Service analyzing procedures to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of programs; reporting and/or tracking program changes; and providing advice and/or guidance on program related issues.


A master's or equivalent graduate degree or two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related.


A combination of the required specialized experience and education for this grade level.

If education is a basic requirement or you are qualifying all or in part based on your education, you must submit transcripts (official or unofficial).  Failure to submit transcripts may result in an ineligible rating.
