The National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) is a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) National Laboratory that produces technological solutions to America's energy challenges. For more than 100 years, the laboratory has focused on developing tools and processes to provide clean, reliable, and affordable energy to the American people.
This position is a Project Manager in the Energy Delivery Technologies Division, Project Management Center. The Energy Delivery Technologies Division (EDTD) provides quality technical, administrative, and project management services.
The incumbent will be a focal for providing federal technical project management in National, State and Local Initiatives (NSLI) which implements activities aimed at protecting the nation against energy supply disruptions and support to improve National, State, and Municipality Energy Assurance Plans. A successful candidate in this position will possess a working knowledge to evaluate complex technical issues relating to energy assurance planning, the operations of State Public Utility Commissions, critical infrastructure protection and response to energy emergencies. Travel lasting longer than one week may be required when responding to energy emergencies.
