JOB SUMMARY:

The Fort McCoy FMWRC mission is to create and maintain "FIRST CHOICE" MWR products and services for America's Army, essential to a ready, self-reliant force.

Position is located at McCoys Club, Fort McCoy, WI.  This is a Flexible on call position and schedule will be approximately 24 hours per week OR less based on mission requirements but there is no guarantee of work week hours.  Normal schedule will be nights from 6:00PM to 1:00AM but could include rotating shifts of days, nights, weekends and holidays.  This is a seasonal position approximately May thru August.  Minors must be able to work in accordance with state and federal labor laws.  Uniforms are provided by the activity and are required.   Applicant must provide one work and one personal reference. 

Environment is often noisy from high energy nightclub atmosphere.  Facility has indoor and outdoor seating and bars.  Catering and food service operations are often very busy and requires constant attention to cleanliness and sanitation.  Facility can become very crowded.  Some work in walk in freezers and refrigerators required.  Constant changes in environment temperature are common during a shift.

DUTIES:

Cleans rooms, corridors, stairways, and other areas. Sweeps, mops, vacuums, scrubs, strips and polishes using light and heavy duty powered equipment. Operates industrial equipment to clean rugs, drapes, etc. Performs routine maintenance of equipment. Cleans, disinfects and deodorizes toilet facilities. Cleans, and dusts assigned areas. Empties trash. Washes walls, windows, blinds and ceiling fixtures using ladders, scaffolds and safety belt. Cleans and conditions bowling lanes. Loads and unloads trucks when receiving deliveries of food, beverage and supplies. Performs routine lawn maintenance. Moves heavy furniture. Maintains stock of room and cleaning supplies to perform assigned duties. Required standing and walking on hard and carpeted surfaces with some bending, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of items or carts weighing 20 to 40 pounds, and occasionally over 50 pounds. Performs other duties as assigned.

HIGHLY PREFERRED and will be used in the rating process will be candidates with previous custodial work experience.  Experience should be addressed in applicant resume to be rated qualified.  Must have the ability to follow instructions and read signs. Must have a basic knowledge of common cleaning solvents, cleaning tools, and equipment. Must know the proper uses of a variety of special cleaning and sanitizing solutions, and must be able to remove different kinds of stains from a wide variety of surfaces. Must be able to troubleshoot, make adjustments, and perform minor repair and maintenance of equipment.  Ability to work in stressful high paced environment.


Conditions of employment:

1.  Possess and maintain a valid drivers license (Valid Driver’s license must be presented at time of appointment).

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies: Ability to follow instructions and read signs. Basic knowledge of common cleaning solvents, cleaning tools and equipment.  Ability to work in stressful high pace environment.  The experience described in your resume will be evaluated as related to the qualifications, knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job.  Do not overstate or under state your level of experience and capability.  You should be aware that your ratings are subject to evaluation and verification. Questionnaire answers must be substantiated in your resume as to the job duties and requirements of the position.  If a determination is made that you have rated yourself higher than is supported by your resume it could be grounds for not being referred for the position.
