Position Summary: This position is a Part-Time (not-to-exceed 10 hours per week) Schedule A Excepted Appointment not-to-exceed 20 weeks. Serves as a research assistant in the Department of Systems and Engineering Management. Assists with research on the experimental and computational problems related to Microbial Fuel Cell (MFC)-based biosensors.

Applicants must have: Knowledge of basic engineering, microbiology, biomaterials, and water chemistry necessary for carrying out the research project. Formal knowledge at least equal to that obtained in a Bachelors Degree Program in Biology or Engineering preferably complemented by experimental knowledge gained from prior service in a laboratory setting is required.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
