Location: This position is within the Office of Acquisition and Logistics in Washington, DC.

Major Duties:

  • Provides a variety of program management services to Enterprise Acquisition Systems (EAS).
  • Provides information and assistance, resolve problems, and identify ways to improve the quality and effectiveness of EAS operation processes.
  • Provides procedural and technical advice, interpretations, and guidance to EAS staff regarding the preparation of correspondence, as well as documentation work flow, and clearance processing to ensure timely submission.
  • Collects, analyzes, and interprets information for use by program officials in forecasting financial requirements and in developing annual budget requests. 
  • Develops data required to use in the management and direction of programs.

To qualify for this position, you must have at least: 

A) One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service.  Such experience may include: assisting in the identification and resolution of issues or problems of administrative procedures and policies; conducting studies of clerical work processes in the organization to identify, analyze, and recommend solutions to problems in organizational structure, staffing, administrative procedures, work processes; assist in developing new or modified administrative program policies, regulations, goals, or objectives; communicating information, directives, and guidance to the management and administration of the organization.

OR

B) I have completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D.  NOTE: A copy of your transcript is required to verify educational claims.

OR

C) I have less than the full amount of graduate education described in "B" and less than the amount of experience described in "C," but I have a combination of the type of graduate education described in "B" and the type of experience described in "C." To compute, first determine your total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required; then determine your total qualifying graduate level education as a percentage of the education required. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal to at least 100 percent. Transcripts are required to verify educational claims. Failure to submit will result in an ineligible rating.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid work on the same basis as for paid experience. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. To receive credit for such experience you must indicate clearly the nature of the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the number of hours per week spent in such employment.


Education:

REQUIREMENTS:

·         Background Investigation: You may need to successfully complete a background investigation before appointed into the position.

 

·         Probationary Period: You may be required to serve a one year probationary period.

  

·         Time in Grade (TIG): Current employees, Transfer and/or Reinstatement Eligibles must have a minimum of 52 weeks at the next lower grade GS-grade level to be eligible under Merit Promotion.   

 

·         Relocation Expenses: Relocation expenses are not authorized for this position.
